PRIA is running a national level campaign for ‘Putting governance of Urban Poverty on Political Agenda’ which becomes even more significant in respect to the up-coming Lok Sabha elections. Recently PRIA organised a state level consultation in Jaipur, addressing and highlighting various issues of the urban poor in the state of Rajasthan and in Jaipur. It’s a very relevant question. I think urban is becoming an issue, but city residents especially the urban poor need a unified voice to make themselves heard!
